Vote for the Candidate that is the least anti-Christ

Choosing Leaders Who Reflect Christ’s Teachings

In every election, Christians are called to weigh their choices carefully, not just based on policies but on the character of the candidates. This image presents a powerful contrast between being Christ-like and Anti-Christ-like, using the fruits of the Spirit as a guide to evaluate the moral and ethical qualities of those seeking leadership.

The Fruits of the Spirit: A Model for Leadership

In Galatians 5:22-23, the Bible describes the fruits of the Spirit—qualities that reflect the character of Christ. These include:

  • Love (unconditional care for others)
  • Joy (an attitude of happiness and gratitude)
  • Peace (promoting tranquility and nonviolence)
  • Patience (exercising self-restraint)
  • Kindness (showing concern for others)
  • Goodness (being moral and virtuous)
  • Gentleness (avoiding harshness)
  • Faithfulness (remaining faithful and keeping promises)
  • Self-control (controlling one’s passions)

A leader who embodies these traits leads with humility, justice, and care for the well-being of others. They do not seek power for their own sake but rather serve as stewards for the people they represent.

The Opposite: Anti-Christ-Like Leadership

On the other hand, leadership that lacks these virtues can be harmful to society. Characteristics such as lovelessness, joylessness, discord, impatience, unkindness, sinfulness, infidelity, harshness, and compulsiveness reflect self-serving attitudes that are the opposite of what Christ taught. Leaders who exhibit these traits prioritize power over people, division over unity, and personal gain over the common good.

Applying This to Elections

This image encourages Christians to vote for the candidate who is the least Anti-Christ-like—not based on political affiliation but on moral character. While no candidate is perfect, voters should prayerfully consider who most reflects Christ’s teachings of love, peace, and humility.

Before casting a vote, ask:

  • Does this candidate exhibit kindness, patience, and self-control?
  • Do they promote peace and unity rather than discord and division?
  • Are they honest, faithful, and morally upright?

In a world where political decisions have profound impacts on justice, poverty, war, and human dignity, choosing leaders who strive to embody Christ-like values is more important than ever.
